The coach was purchased by the original owner in March 2021 from General RV for use as a family shuttle between winter and summer homes. After a couple of trips, it was parked in a heated barn in southern Illinois. It was driven every few weeks to keep things lubricated. It was never used to camp. There was no water in the tank, the shower head was still bagged, etc. Total mileage about 2700.
In March 2024* after a two day on site inspection, the deal was made. On the road test, the check engine light illuminated. Determined to be the DEF system. Owner agreed to repair. Two days later I left and headed home. *[about a week after the warranty - which was never used - expired...]
Early one foggy morning I turned on the fog lights by pulling the headlight switch knob. When the sun came out, I pushed the switch. The whole assembly fell into the dash with the fog lights still on...
A couple of days into the journey, I encountered a patch of rough Interstate... and the ceiling accents fell down...
... and stuff has been falling and failing ever since ... currently over 135 items repaired and a dozen or so still to go...
